Said Too Much

I hear this term a lot. But after a while, with the same people saying it, I get annoyed and the phrase is meaningless. I would rather you not say Thank You to every little thing I do. Don't thank me for doing my job on a regular basis. Don't thank me for doing chores around the house that are mine to do. Thank me for doing things I didn't have to. Thank me for doing something out of shear kindness or generosity. Make Thank You a pleasant phrase again.
